Followers of the royal family couldnât help but notice Prince Charlesâ recent social media post wishing grandson Archie a happy birthday didnât include a photo of mom, Meghan Markle.
âHappy birthday to Archie, who turns two today,â he captioned a photo of himself with son Harry and grandson Archie. Followers immediately made note of Markleâs absence, as she was included in other dedications to the toddler posted by other family members.
âSad! Very sad state of affairs when the supposed future king cuts the mother of his grandchild out of the photo with which he chooses to share,â wrote one critic. âYes, they havenât seen Archie for over 12mnths, but to not include Meghan⌠itâll only add fuel to the fire of the tabloids. #Archie.â
âLovely picture, but where is Meghan on the picture?â another added.
âWhy would you not call him your grandson and why cut his mother off?â wrote yet another disappointed Tweeter. âYou have made a lot of mistakes yourself or have you forgotten that. This is not helping at all.â
Other royals were sure to include pictures of Archie with his mother within their birthday wishes, including Prince William and the Queen herself.
âWishing Archie Mountbatten-Windsor a very happy 2nd birthday today,â said a message posted on Queen Elizabeth IIâs official âRoyal Familyâ Twitter account, along with an emoji of a red balloon.
Prince Charles â whoâs only seen grandson Archie twice since his birth â is reportedly âstill fumingâ over Meghan and Harryâs bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, with a source telling Us Weekly, âCharles is still fuming about Harry throwing shade at him and the royal family in the big interview and wonât let it drop.â
